Dave Meggett (David Lee Meggett) was born on April 30, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina. After going to high school at Bonds-Wilson (North Charleston, NC), Meggett attended Morgan State University and Towson University. Meggett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1989 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants, New England Patriots and New York Jets over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1989 was Dave Meggett's best year, as he had 531 receiving yards, caught 4 TD passes, had 582 punt return yards, ran back a punt for a touchdown and had 577 kick return yards.
