Dave Diehl (David Douglas Diehl) was born on September 29, 1918 in Dansville, Michigan. After going to high school at Dansville (MI), Diehl attended Michigan State University. Diehl made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1944 was Dave Diehl's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes.
