Dave Casper (David John Casper) was born on September 26, 1961 in Bemidji, Minnesota. After going to high school at Chilton (WI), Casper attended the University of Notre Dame. Casper made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders, Houston Oilers, Los Angeles Raiders and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that 1978 was Dave Casper's best year, as he hauled in 62 receptions, had 852 receiving yards, caught 9 TD passes and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
