Dave Ahrens (David Iver Ahrens) was born on December 5, 1958 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After going to high school at Oregon (WI), Ahrens attended the University of Wisconsin. Ahrens made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1981 was Dave Ahrens's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
