Acquired:

Signed as a free agent 2004.

2006: .

A break-out year for the quiet and edgy defender as he started all 18 regular season games and racked up 52 defensive tackles, three more on special teams to go along with his career-high four interceptions (one for a 63-yard TD), five pass knockdowns and two fumble recoveries. Dante was the Lions leading tackler in the West Championship with five stops and added six more in the Grey Cup win over Montreal.

2005:

Started all 18 regular season games and CFL West Championship for the Lions at defensive back recording 47 defensive tackles along with another 7 on special teams.

2004:

Recorded 61 tackles to rank second on the team in his rookie CFL season.

2001:

Had a brief stint with the Tennessee Titans of the NFL but missed the entire season due to injury.

Notable:

Dante’s lockdown play on the corner during the 2006 season earned him West Division All-Star status for the first time in his career as well as his first career TD (July 21/06 @ Calgary) on a dazzling 63-yard return. Dante has not missed a game in three seasons as a Lion and has recorded at least 3 interceptions in each of his three pro seasons and 160 defensive tackles.

College:

Marsh finished his college career at Fresno State with 9 interceptions and 3 defensive touchdowns. He was sixth on the team in tackles with 58 and tied for the team lead with 3 interceptions during the 1999 season. Marsh competed in the EA Sports Las Vegas Bowl with 4 tackles and an interception with an 11-yard return. In 1998, he ranked fifth on the team in tackles with 55 and tied for second on the team for interceptions with 2.

Personal:

Prior to attending Fresno State, Marsh was highly recruited by Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, and Washington State. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing and bowling. During the off season, Marsh mentors children as a counselor in a group home.
