Born on November 18, 1932 in New York, New York, Danny McDevitt (Daniel Eugene McDevitt) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Athletics over the course of his 6 year career. McDevitt broke into the bigs on June 17, 1957 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 3.25 ERA in 119 innings pitched in 1957, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Danny McDevitt's best season was 1959, when he posted a 3.97 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 106 batters.
