Born on January 5, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas, Danny Jackson (Danny Lynn Jackson) played for the Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres over the course of his 15 year career. Jackson broke into the bigs on September 11, 1983 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 4.26 ERA in 76 innings pitched in 1984, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Danny Jackson's best season was 1988, when he posted a 2.73 ERA, won 23 games and struck out 161 batters.
