Dan Sandifer (Daniel Padgett Sandifer) was born on March 1, 1927 in Shreveport, Louisiana. After going to high school at [[:Category: Athletes Who Attended Byrd(Shreveport, LA), Sandifer attended Louisiana State University. Sandifer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Dan Sandifer's best year, as he picked off 13 passes, ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns, had 594 kick return yards and ran back a kickoff for a touchdown.
