Born on February 7, 1953 in Santa Monica, California, Dan Quisenberry (Daniel Raymond Quisenberry) played for the Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 12 year career. Quisenberry broke into the bigs on July 8, 1979 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 3.09 ERA in 128.1 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dan Quisenberry's best season was 1983, when he posted a 1.94 ERA and notched 45 saves.
