Dan Fouts (Daniel Francis Fouts) was born on June 10, 1951 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at St. Ignatius (San Francisco, CA), Fouts attended the University of Oregon. Fouts made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 15 year career.
Most people believe that 1981 was Dan Fouts's best year, as he threw for 4802 yards, tossed 33 TDs and put up a 90.6 passer rating.
