Week 1, started at QB but left game early in first quarter after suffering a broken finger on right hand……Week 6, returned to starting lineup at QB and passed for 256 yards against BC on his 43rd birthday…Week 7, dressed as third QB in Montreal…Week 8, returned to starting lineup and threw for 319 and one touchdown in win over Hamilton…Week 9, started at QB and passed for 200 yards in win over Montreal…Became only the second player in pro-football history to pass for over 70,000 yards after completing a 37-yard pass to WR Keith Stokes in the third quarter (19/08/06)

Named CFL Most Outstanding Player for first time in his career…Named CFL All-Star quarterback for first time in his career…Named East Division All-Star…Winner of CFL Fans Choice Award…Named CFLPA All-Star…Played 18 games, starting 16.

Grey Cup Championship

Named Grey Cup MVP for second time in his legendary career…finished 23 of 34 for 299 yards (LG 34) including 1 TD pass… rushed 5 times for 10 yards (LG 5) and 2 TDs.

Acquired from the British Columbia Lions on June 7 in a trade for a 2nd round draft pick (DE Nautyn McKay-Loescher) in the 2004 CFL College Draft and a 3rd round pick (LB Patrick Pierre-Louis) in the 2005 CFL College Draft …Made Argonauts debut and played in 300th career regular CFL game in opener loss to Saskatchewan…Did not play in Week 5 against Winnipeg due to a hand injury …Week 7, became third quarterback in professional football history to pass for 60,000 yards…Week 17, threw 1 TD giving Allen 334 career touchdown passes surpassing Ron Lancaster for the most career touchdown passes in CFL history…

2003 Playoffs

Started East Division Semi-Final against BC…East Championship, injured his throwing hand and left the game early giving way to backup Marcus Brady.

1996-2002

British Columbia Lions

2002

Enjoyed his best game of the season on August 21 as he threw for 490 yards and 4 TDs, all to Alfred Jackson, in a 48-37 win over the Montreal Alouettes...established a new career-long pass of 109 yards when he connected with Jackson with just over a minute to play in the game.

2001

Allen passed John Elway and Doug Flutie and moved into 3rd place on professional football's all-time passing list with 54,420 yards...that total also moved him into 1st place among active quarterbacks...despite missing three games with a hand injury, Allen still threw for 3,361 yards and became the first CFL quarterback to rush for over 10,000 yards in his career.

2000

Became the CFL's all-time leading passer on October 28 against Hamilton, throwing for 345 yards to surpass Ron Lancaster's record of 50,535 yards...completed 324 of 525 passes (61.7%) to lead the CFL with a career-hight 4,840 passing yards...was nominated as the team's Most Outstanding Player for the CFL Player Awards...captured his first Grey Cup with B.C. (third of his career) throwing for 234 yards in win over Montreal.

1999

Voted to the CFL's West Division All-Star team...threw for 4,219 yards on 315 of 521 passing with 22 TDs...also ran the ball 136 times for 785 yards and 8 touchdowns...threw for more than 300 yards on five occasions and was twice named CFL Player of the Week...led the Lions to a 13-5 record before losing to Calgary in the Western Final.

1998

Started all 18 games for the 9-9 Lions, completing 282 of 479 passes for 3,519 yards and 16 touchdowns...also ran the ball 115 times for 782 yards and two touchdowns...led the team to a six-game winning streak to finish the regular season, before losing to Edmonton in the Western Semi-Final.

1997

Threw a career-high 378 complete passes in 583 attempts in 18 games...threw for 371 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Montreal in the Eastern Semi-Final.

1996

Joined the B.C. Lions as a free-agent after a year with the expansion Memphis Mad Dogs...played in only 14 games with the Lions due to injury, and passed for 2,772 yards and added 400 rushing yards.

1995

Memphis Mad Dogs

Signed as a free-agent with the Memphis Mad Dogs...appeared in 15 games with the expansion team...threw for 3,211 yards and 11 touchdowns on 228 of 390 passing...also rushed for 427 yards in his only season "south of the border".

1993-1994

Edmonton Eskimos

1994

Threw for 3,554 yards and 19 touchdowns in leading Edmonton to a Western Semi-Final appearance, before losing to B.C., the eventual Grey Cup Champions.

1993

Returned to Edmonton, the city where he began his CFL career, after being traded by the Tiger-Cats to the Eskimos in exchange for quarterback De Chane Cameron, linebacker DeWayne Odom, linebacker Mike O'Shea and the negotiation list rights to linebacker William Freeney...threw for 3,394 yards, including a career-long 102 yards on one play, and 25 touchdowns...rushed for 920 yards and 6 scores on the year...was named Grey Cup MVP in Edmonton's 33-23 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

1992

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a free-agent in May...in 18 games, threw for a career-high 3,858 and 19 touchdowns in his only season in "Steeltown"...rushed for 850 yards and 7 touchdowns ...was traded after the season to the Edmonton Eskimos.

1989-1991

Ottawa Rough Riders

1991

Was named a Division All-Star for the first time in his CFL career...rushed for a career-high 1,036 yards and 8 touchdowns in 18 games...also passed for a career-high 4,275 yards on the year with 25 scores...

1990

Threw for a career-high 34 touchdowns and added 7 rushing scores in 17 games played with the Ottawa Rough Riders...accounted for 3,883 passing yards and 776 rushing yards on the season.

1989

Signed as a free-agent with the Ottawa Rough Riders in March...threw for 3,093 yards and 17 touchdowns in his first season in the nation's capital...added 532 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground.

1985-1988

Edmonton Eskimos

1988

Appeared in 10 games for the Eskimos...completed 94 of 218 passes for 1,309 yards and four touchdowns.

1987

Completed 150 of 287 passes and 17 touchdowns...replaced Matt Dunigan in the championship game and led the team to a Grey Cup victory...earned Grey Cup Offensive Player of the Game honours in the win.

1986

Saw limited action in his first couple of seasons with the Eskimos, backing up CFL veteran Matt Dunigan...completed 49 of 87 passes for 878 yards and 8 touchdowns.

1985

Joined the CFL as a free-agent, signing with the Edmonton Eskimos...threw for 661 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie season.

College

A graduate of Califoria State University, Fullerton, Allen set seven single season records in his senior year with the Titans and was named a 1st team Pacific Coast Athletic Association All-Star in 1984...led the team to two PCAA championships and broke a 26-year old NCAA record with only 3 interceptions in over 300 attempts...finished 16th in Heisman Trophy voting in 1984.

Personal

A gifted all-around athlete, Allen attended spring training with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1994...is an avid reader and draws inspiration from the teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Jackie Robinson...is very active in the local community throughout the year...he and his wife, Desiree, have three daughters Amanda, Alyssa and Ateya.
