Coby Rhinehart (Jacoby M. Rhinehart) was born on February 7, 1977 in Dallas, Texas. After going to high school at Tyler Street Christian Academy (Dallas, TX), Rhinehart attended Southern Methodist University. Rhinehart made his professional debut in the NFL in 1999 with the Arizona Cardinals. He played for the Arizona Cardinals for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that 2002 was Coby Rhinehart's best year.

Signed by Calgary as a free agent on August 3, 2005.
Played in 12 regular season games including the Scotiabank West Semi-final...Rhinehart saw his first regular season action on August 6th at home vs the Winnipeg Blue Bombers...he finished the regular season with 43 defensive tackles, 12 special team, five knockdowns, two tackles for a loss, one fumble return for ten yards and one interception which he returned 36 yards at Taylor Field in Saskatchewan.
Was released by the Cardinals on September 5th, 2004.

Mainstay in the Southern Methodist University secondary...expanded his role as senior in 1998 by also performing as a wide receiver in addition to handling return chores...all-Western Athletic Conference (W.A.C.) first-team selection in '98 at cornerback with 66 tackles (51 solos), 2 interceptions, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for a loss...team high five fumble recoveries, caused another, and led squad with 15 pass deflections...returned six punts for 32 yards (5.3-yard average), caught six passes for 80 yards (13.3-yard average) and a touchdown, and rushed four times for 79 yards (19.8-yard average) and a touchdown...Senior Bowl most valuable player for the South squad following their senior season...recipient for the Project Tomorrow endowment. Created by the Salvation Army Dallas County Advisory Board, enabling gifted youths to attend Tyler Street Christian Academy in his native Dallas...class 2-A all-Texas selection as a high school senior with 35 receptions for 678 yards (19.4-yard average) and nine touchdowns...scored 80 points while making 75 tackles, 10 interceptions (four touchdowns), 3 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery on defense as a senior...also as a standout basketball player, averaging 18 points as a senior for the two time state champions...four year letter winner in both football and basketball...member of the National Honor Society...won his school's math and science award...advertising major at Southern Methodist...recipient of the 1989 Dallas Boy-of the Year Award from the Salvation Army.
