Claude Corbitt (Claude Elliott Corbitt) was born on July 21, 1915 in Sunbury, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on September 23, 1945 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1946, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 1 home run and 16 RBI. Corbitt played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career.
