Chris Zorich (Christopher Robert Zorich) was born on March 13, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Vocational (Chicago, IL), Zorich attended the University of Notre Dame. Chris Zorich was a integral part of the fierce defensive that propeled the Notre Dame team to the 1988 National Championship.
He was a two time AP All-American Team and the Lombardi Award winner in 1990. He anchored the Irish defensive during the 1990 season despite playing most of the season with a dislocated kneecap In his last game at Notre Dame, the '91 Orange Bowl, he earned most valuable player honors.
Zorich made his professional debut in the NFL in 1991 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins over the course of his 6 year career. During the course of his professional career he made great efforts to give back to the community through the Christopher Zorich foundation.
Most people believe that 1993 was Chris Zorich's best year, as he recorded 7 sacks.
