Chris Cannizzaro (Christopher John Cannizzaro) was born on May 3, 1938 in Oakland, California. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1960 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1962, his rookie year, he hit .241 with 0 home runs and 9 RBI. Cannizzaro played for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Chris Cannizzaro's best season was 1970, when he hit for a .279 average.
