Chicken Hawks (Nelson Louis Hawks) was born on February 3, 1896 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1921 for the New York Yankees. In 1925, his rookie year, he hit .322 with 5 home runs and 45 RBI. Hawks played for the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 2 year career.
