Chick King (Charles Gilbert King) was born on November 10, 1930 in Paris, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on August 27, 1954 for the Detroit Tigers. King played for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 5 year career.
