Charlie Zunker (Charles A. Zunker) was born on August 23, 1908 in Henley, Texas. After going to high school at San Marcos Academy (San Marcos, TX), Zunker attended Southwest Texas State University. Zunker made his professional debut in the NFL in 1934 with the Cincinnati-St. Louis Reds-Gunners. He played for the Cincinnati-St. Louis Reds-Gunners for his entire 1 year career.
