Charlie Mockmore (Charles A. Mockmore) was born on November 7, 1891 in Platte County, Nebraska. After going to high school at Wilton (IA), Mockmore attended the University of Iowa. Mockmore made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Rock Island Independents. He played for the Rock Island Independents for his entire 1 year career.
