Charlie Hayes (Charles Dewayne Hayes) was born on May 29, 1965 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on September 11, 1988 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1989, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 8 home runs and 43 RBI. Hayes played for the San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Charlie Hayes's best season was 1993, when he slugged 25 home runs, hit for a .305 average and knocked in 98 runs.
