Charlie Carman (William Charles Carman) was born on January 6, 1897. After going to high school at Marvin University (Clinton, KY), Carman attended Vanderbilt Universtiy. Carman made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Detroit Tigers. He played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 1 year career.
