Born on July 27, 1884 in Ventura, California, Charley Hall (Charles Louis Hall) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 9 year career. Hall broke into the bigs on July 12, 1906 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 3.32 ERA in 95 innings pitched in 1906, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Charley Hall's best season was 1910, when he posted a 1.91 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 95 batters.
