Category:St. Louis Browns Players

There have been two teams known as the St. Louis Browns. The first one started in 1882 as the St. Louis Brown Stockings, but quickly dropped the Stockings part of their name. As the Browns they won 4 pennants and played until 1898, before becoming the St. Louis Perfectos in 1899. In 1900, the team changed its nickname yet again, but this time for the final time. The team has won 9 World Championships and 16 pennants as the St. Louis Cardinals.

The second St. Louis Browns team started life in 1901 as the Milwaukee Brewers, before moving the next year to St. Louis. The team played as the St. Louis Browns from 1902-1953 before moving to Baltimore and becoming the Baltimore Orioles. This franchise won 1 pennant as the St. Louis Browns.
