Carlos Pena (Carlos Felipe Pena) was born on May 17, 1978 in Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on September 5, 2001 for the Texas Rangers. In 2002, his rookie year, he hit .242 with 19 home runs and 52 RBI. Pena played for the Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (Tampa Bay Rays) over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that Carlos Pena's best season was 2004, when he slugged 27 home runs and knocked in 82 runs.
