Carl Larpenter (Carl James Larpenter) was born on July 1, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas. After going to high school at Thomas Jefferson (Port Arthur, TX), Larpenter attended the University of Texas. Larpenter made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos and Dallas Texans over the course of his 3 year career.
