Born on September 5, 1892 in Roxbury, Massachusetts, Cap Crowell (Minot Joy Crowell) played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 2 year career. Crowell broke into the bigs on June 23, 1915 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 5.47 ERA in 54.1 innings pitched in 1915, his rookie year.
