Born on October 1, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, Buzz Capra (Lee William Capra) played for the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 7 year career. Capra broke into the bigs on September 15, 1971 with the New York Mets, and put up a 4.58 ERA in 53 innings pitched in 1972, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Buzz Capra's best season was 1974, when he posted a 2.28 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 137 batters.
