Buddy Rosar (Warren Vincent Rosar) was born on July 3, 1914 in Buffalo, New York. He made his Major League debut on April 29, 1939 for the New York Yankees. In 1940, his rookie year, he hit .298 with 4 home runs and 37 RBI. Rosar played for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 13 year career.
Most people believe that Buddy Rosar's best season was 1946, when he hit for a .283 average.
