Bud Sherrod (Horace Monroe Sherrod) was born on December 2, 1927 in Knoxville, Tennessee. After going to high school at Central (Knoxville, TN), Sherrod attended the University of Tennessee. Sherrod made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
