Bud Hafey (Daniel Albert Hafey) was born on August 6, 1912 in Berkeley, California. He made his Major League debut on April 21, 1935 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1935, his rookie year, he hit .228 with 6 home runs and 16 RBI. Hafey played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 3 year career.
