Bud Grant (Harold Peter Grant) was born on May 20, 1927 in Superior, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Central (Superior, WI), Grant attended the University of Minnesota. Grant made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1952 was Bud Grant's best year, as he hauled in 56 receptions, had 997 receiving yards and caught 7 TD passes.
