Bud Erickson (Carleton Erickson) was born on January 10, 1916 in Seattle, Washington. After going to high school at Bothell (WA), Erickson attended the University of Washington. Erickson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 2 year career.
