Bud Edwards (Charles Halleck Edwards) was born on March 21, 1908 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Moses Brown (Providence, RI), Edwards attended Brown University. Edwards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Providence Steam Roller. He played for the Providence Steam Roller for his entire 2 year career.
