Buck Saunders (Ward Bishop Saunders) was born on July 5, 1892 in , WI. After going to high school at Gilroy (CA), Saunders attended Univeristy of California. Saunders made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Toledo Maroons. He played for the Toledo Maroons for his entire 1 year career.
