Buck Redfern (George Howard Redfern) was born on April 7, 1902 in Asheville, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 11, 1928 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1928, his rookie year, he hit .234 with 0 home runs and 35 RBI. Redfern played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 2 year career.
