Buck Etchison (Clarence Hampton Etchison) was born on January 27, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on September 22, 1943 for the Boston Braves. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .214 with 8 home runs and 33 RBI. Etchison played for the Boston Braves for his entire 2 year career.
