Bruce Matthews (Bruce Rankin Matthews) was born on August 8, 1961 in Raleigh, North Carolina. After going to high school at Arcadia (CA), Matthews attended the University of Southern California. Matthews made his professional debut in the NFL in 1983 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers, Tennessee Titans and Tennessee Oilers over the course of his 19 year career.
Most people believe that 1985 was Bruce Matthews's best year.
