Brian Sipe (Brian Winfield Sipe) was born on August 8, 1949 in San Diego, California. After going to high school at Grossmont (La Mesa, CA), Sipe attended Grossmont College and San Diego State University. Sipe made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1980 was Brian Sipe's best year, as he threw for 4132 yards, tossed 30 TDs and put up a 91.4 passer rating.
