[edit] Biography

Born on April 26, 1972 in Portsmouth, Virginia, Brian Anderson (Brian James Anderson) played for the California Angels, Cleveland Indians, Arizona Diamondbacks and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 13 year career. Anderson broke into the bigs on September 10, 1993 with the California Angels, and put up a 5.22 ERA in 101.2 innings pitched in 1994, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Brian Anderson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 2003, when he posted a 3.78 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 87 batters. However, others believe that it was 2000, when he posted a 4.05 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 104 batters.
