Brian Hansen (Brian Dean Hansen) was born on October 20, 1960 in Hawarden, Iowa. After going to high school at West Sioux (Hawarden, IA), Hansen attended the University of Sioux Falls. Hansen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and New England Patriots over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that 1991 was Brian Hansen's best year, as he dropped 20 punts inside the 20 and had a 42.5 yard punt average.
