Dawkins is married to his high school sweetheart, Connie. Together, they have two children, Brian, Jr. and Brionni. Dawkins is also a devoted Christian and an inspirational leader on his team. Philadelphia fans often fondly refer to Dawkins as Wolverine or Weapon X for his fearless attitude and intense style of play. He is also known as the "Idiot Man" because of his transformation from a quiet and peaceful man to an extremely energetic and fiery player on game days. Also referred to as B-Dawk as an abbreviation for his name. During the offseason, he trains with Ultimate Fighting champion, Tim "Obake" Catalfo

[edit] Scouting Report

Pro Football Weekly 2005 NFL Preview's analysis of Dawkins: "A decapitator in the open field, Dawkins moves with ease, changing direction and covering like a cornerback. Because of his versatility and intelligence, Dawkins is the key to the Philadelphia defense. He's never out of position, always in front of the play and has closing speed to make plays in front of him and in his periphery."
