[edit] Biography

Born on March 25, 1967 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Brian Barnes (Brian Keith Barnes) played for the Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 5 year career. Barnes broke into the bigs on September 14, 1990 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 4.22 ERA in 160 innings pitched in 1991, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Brian Barnes's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1992, when he posted a 2.97 ERA and struck out 65 batters. However, others believe that it was 1991, when he posted a 4.22 ERA and struck out 117 batters.
