2 prospect behind Hanley Ramirez in the Red Sox organization by Baseball America... Also rated as the organization s best hitter for average...

2004: Earned several honors while playing for the Augusta Greenjackets, including Red Sox Minor League Player of the Year, South Atlantic League Player of the Year, Red Sox Minor League Player of the Month for May and July, TOPPS Players of the Month for the South Atlantic League for July and was named to both the mid-season and season-ending All-Star teams...Despite missing last 3 weeks of season after call-up to Sarasota, led South Atlantic League with .339 batting average, second with .402 OBP, tied for fourth with 101 RBI, sixth with 147 hits and tenth with .515 slugging percentage... From April 18-May 20, reached base by hit or walk in 29 consecutive games, including a 16-game hit streak, April 18-May 5...Compiled another 16 game hit streak June 25-July 14, in the midst of a 23-game streak of reaching base by hit or walk...Logged two 5-RBI games, four 4-RBI games and six 3-RBI efforts...Hit .357 in April, .363 in May and .344 in July...Promoted to Sarasota on August 10 and recorded a hit in first 14 games (26-for-45, .578) and earned Florida State League Player of the Week honors on August 24...Combined to lead all Red Sox minor leaguers with .353 batting average, 182 hits, 7 triples, and 111 RBI and was second with .411 OBP... 2003: In 65 games with Lowell, produced 26 XBH in 65 games.

2006 Season started off slowly, but Moss turned it on along with the Sea Dogs to lead the Portland Sea Dogs to their first Eastern League (AA) championship in 13 years. Moss was named MVP.

Brandon Moss has come a long way, tuning it up for a big run into last year's Eastern League playoffs, where he was voted the EL 2006 MVP. A high schooler, he has had a longer learning curve than other Red Sox farmhands, but he is learning and improving to major league calliber by the day. The door would appear to have slammed shut on him with the J.D. Drew signing, but he remains, like Hanley Ramirez before him, one of the Red Sox top trade prospects.
