Bobby Towns (Robert Towns) was born on March 17, 1938 in Elberton, Georgia. After going to high school at Athens (GA), Towns attended the University of Georgia. Towns made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals the entire time. Towns also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time.
