Bobby Sturgeon (Robert Harwood Sturgeon) was born on August 6, 1919 in Clinton, Indiana. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1940 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1941, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 0 home runs and 25 RBI. Sturgeon played for the Chicago Cubs and Boston Braves over the course of his 6 year career.
