Bobby Marshall (Robert W. Marshall) was born on March 12, 1880 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marshall attended the University of Minnesota. Marshall made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Rock Island Independents. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Rock Island Independents the entire time. Marshall also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Duluth Kelleys the entire time.
