Bobby LaMotte (Robert Eugene LaMotte) was born on February 15, 1898 in Savannah, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 1920 for the Washington Senators. In 1922, his rookie year, he hit .252 with 1 home run and 23 RBI. LaMotte played for the Washington Senators and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Bobby LaMotte's best season was 1925, when he knocked in 51 runs.
