Bob Spiers (Robert Hugh Spiers) was born on January 4, 1895 in Freedom Station, Ohio. After going to high school at Freedom Station (OH), Spiers attended Ohio State University. Spiers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Akron Pros. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Cleveland Bulldogs and Akron Pros over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Spiers also played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Cleveland Panthers the entire time.
