Bob Spence (John Robert Spence) was born on February 10, 1946 in San Diego, California. He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1969 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .223 with 4 home runs and 15 RBI. Spence played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 3 year career.
