Bob Scholtz (Robert Joseph Scholtz) was born on December 25, 1937 in Watertown, South Dakota. After going to high school at Marquette (Tulsa, OK), Scholtz attended the University of Notre Dame. Scholtz made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions and New York Giants over the course of his 7 year career.
